"I've been following these wonderful classes at Patata School and just had to try blending a bunch of them together.

I used concepts from the modeling and rigging videos and incorporated the fabulous Blender brushes available in the resources section.

Contest Details:

• Task: Create a 3D version of any of your 2D characters, scene, or object. The final result can be an animation or an illustration. For non animated scenes, we recommend a simple video with a full 360 degrees rotation, so we can see your creation from every angle.

• Tools: Use Blender along with our new brushes collection. You are also welcome to use any other Patata School resources such as Creative Shadows, Paintify, or our Clay Materials.

• Submission: Please submit your entry in the Patata School Community Topic 'Meta Quest 3 Contest' and upload it to Instagram tagging @cabeza_patata and #patataquest by August 15th.
  You may submit multiple entries, which can be either still images or videos. Each final delivery should include both your original 2D illustration and the 3D version.

• Prize: The winner will receive a brand new Meta Quest 3 128GB!

• Deadline: All entries must be submitted by August 15th.

Evaluation Criteria:

• Creativity: How original and imaginative is the piece?

• Aesthetic Value: How well-balanced and pleasing is the piece? Consistency in modeling, colors, and use of texture and lighting will be assessed. All this is covered in our Blender courses.

• Technical Difficulty: How complex is the piece? How many different modeling and painting techniques are used? Don’t be fooled; sometimes the most complex things look like the simplest!

The Meta Quest 3 is the latest virtual reality (VR) headset developed by Meta. Unlike some VR headsets that need to be tethered to a high-powered PC or gaming console, the Quest 3 operates independently. It has its own built-in processor, memory, and storage.
